Project Overview

The Investor Hangout is a Lagos-based capital market initiative that gives investors access to market information, research and investment tools online. Its website, at hangout.nayafinance.com, is where investors and partners first meet the platform.

Verdant DevCore Technologies reviewed the existing website, then redesigned and rebuilt it: a new landing page, pages for advisors, developers and partners, a capital market dashboard, and the legal pages a financial platform needs.

Business Challenge

Our review of the existing site found design issues that were getting in the way of the user experience and the platform’s business goals. Sections were misaligned and hard to tell apart, elements and text blocks had uneven heights, and letter-spacing, line height and heading weights were inconsistent.

Heading colours varied from page to page and some text lacked contrast against its background. Stock images didn’t match the brand, the page sidebar didn’t fit the brand either, contact details on the contact page weren’t linked, and the footer menus didn’t point to the right pages.

Why The Investor Hangout Chose Verdant DevCore Technologies

We started with a detailed review of the live website and grouped every improvement under layouts, typography, colour, images and other fixes, so The Investor Hangout could see exactly what would change and why.

Our plan put specifications and mockups first, signed off within a week, followed by development and testing. That gave the team a clear timeline of about four to six weeks, depending on when content for each page was ready.

The Solutions

We fixed the design issues across the site and built out the pages the platform needed:

  • Landing page redesign: aligned sections, background colours that set sections apart, equal-height elements, and consistent typography and heading colours with good contrast.
  • Audience pages: Advisor, Developers and Partnership pages, plus an FAQs page.
  • Capital market dashboard: integrations for Market Data, a Company Profiler, a Robo-advisor and Market Research.
  • Legal pages: Disclaimer, Privacy Policy and Terms of Use.

We also replaced the stock images with ones that match the brand, added overlays where needed, restyled the page sidebar, linked the contact details, and added two floating calls to action (Login and Join) and new footer menus with the correct links.

Impact

Investors now land on a cleaner, more consistent website that is easier to read and navigate, with Login and Join always within reach on every page.

The capital market dashboard puts market data, company profiles, robo-advice and research in one place, and dedicated pages for advisors, developers and partners give each audience a clear route into the platform.

Key Takeaways

  • Start with a review of what exists. Grouping fixes into layouts, typography, colour and images made a redesign easy to plan and agree on.
  • Consistency builds trust. On a financial platform, aligned sections, steady typography and good contrast make the content feel reliable.
  • Keep the next step visible. Floating Login and Join buttons give visitors a way to act from any page.
