Project Overview
C-Vid Global Services wanted an online video recruitment platform: one place where employers post jobs and interview candidates by video, candidates apply and present themselves on camera, and administrators run the whole marketplace.
Verdant DevCore Technologies scoped, designed and built the web application, from technical specifications and UI design through development in two-week sprints, testing and public launch, using established platforms such as HireVue, Spark Hire and Video Recruit as reference points.
Business Challenge
Traditional hiring is slow and fragmented. Job posts sit on one site, applications arrive by email, and first-round interviews need everyone in the same place at the same time. Employers spend hours screening candidates they could assess in minutes, and candidates rarely know where their applications stand.
C-Vid needed a platform that serves three groups with different needs in one product: candidates looking for work, businesses that are hiring, and a platform team that oversees both. Each needed its own permissions, views and dashboard, without the product becoming complicated to use.

Why C-Vid Global Services Chose Verdant DevCore Technologies
C-Vid came to us with a clear idea of the product they wanted and needed a team that could turn it into a working application on a predictable schedule. After detailed conversations about their needs and their ideal user experience, we put forward a feature scope organised by user role, a proven technology stack and a milestone plan that separated product design, development, testing and launch.
Our structured process (planning, wireframes, mockups, development, testing and deployment) let C-Vid review and approve the design before development started, and see working progress at the end of every sprint.
The Solutions
We designed and built a role-based web application with three experiences: candidates, businesses and platform admins.
- Sign-up, login and profiles for every user type.
- Job posting for businesses and admins, with job listings everyone can browse.
- Job applications for candidates, with progress tracking for all three roles.
- Candidate profiles that businesses and admins can review.
- Video interview scheduling by businesses, with email and/or SMS notifications to candidates.
- Recorded video uploads, so candidates can introduce themselves before a live interview.
- A dashboard tailored to each role.
The application runs on Node.js on the backend and Vue.js on the frontend, with an external video hosting service, monitoring tools and other third-party integrations. Development ran in two-week sprints, followed by a dedicated testing phase that benchmarked loading, responsiveness and speed across browsers and mobile devices.
Impact
The platform brings the whole hiring journey into one place. Employers can post a role, review candidate profiles and recorded videos, and schedule interviews without leaving the platform. Candidates can apply, introduce themselves on video and follow their application’s progress.
Video takes much of the time and travel out of first-round interviews, so employers can assess more candidates in less time and candidates can be considered wherever they are. Role-based dashboards give administrators clear oversight of jobs, applications and interviews across the platform.

Key Takeaways
- Recruitment platforms serve several audiences at once. Designing the scope role by role (candidates, businesses and admins) kept each experience focused while sharing one platform underneath.
- Video changes the economics of hiring. Recorded introductions and scheduled video interviews let employers screen more candidates faster, without everyone needing to be in the same place.
- Short sprints and early design sign-off reduce risk. Agreeing the mockups before development and shipping in two-week sprints kept the build aligned with what the client actually needed.

To give C-Vid Global Services an online video recruitment platform where employers post jobs and interview candidates by video, candidates apply and track their progress, and administrators manage the whole platform.
About 12 to 13 weeks: 3 weeks of product design (specifications and UI design), 7 to 8 weeks of development in two-week sprints, 1 week of testing and up to 3 days for the public launch.
Candidates, businesses (employers and corporate clients) and platform administrators. Each has its own permissions and dashboard.
Businesses schedule a video interview with a candidate, and the candidate is notified by email and/or SMS. Candidates can also upload a recorded video to support their application.
