Project Overview
Every Time Wash booking made in the mobile app has to be fulfilled: a wash location, a time slot, a wash type and a customer’s vehicle all need to line up. Alongside the new iOS and Android apps, Time Wash needed an admin web app to run these operations and a backend to keep the apps and the business in sync.
Verdant DevCore Technologies designed the data model, built the backend APIs and delivered the admin web app, with role-based access, payments, vehicle verification, notifications and media handling built in.
Business Challenge
Time Wash offers one-off washes and recurring plans across multiple locations, including NHS Trust sites. Without a central system, the team had no single view of active and past requests, which schedules were filling up, or which customers and vehicles belonged to which bookings.
The admin side had to give staff full control (creating, editing and removing schedules, locations, plans and categories) while keeping customer and payment data secure and making sure every change reached the mobile apps straight away.

Why Time Wash Chose Verdant DevCore Technologies
Time Wash wanted the mobile apps and the operations behind them built by one team, so the customer experience and the admin tools would share a single, consistent backend. Verdant DevCore Technologies took on both, starting with research into the business’s day-to-day operations and its existing app.
Our agile process, with sprints of one to two weeks and agreed features delivered at the end of each, gave Time Wash regular, working progress on the admin tools and the APIs behind them.
The Solutions
We started with the data model, mapping how users, vehicles, locations, schedules, bookings, wash plans, wash categories, payments and notifications relate to each other, and built the backend APIs on top of it. The admin web app gives the Time Wash team:
- Bookings and schedules: view active and past requests, mark bookings complete, cancel bookings and manage wash schedules.
- Locations: create, edit and remove wash locations, including NHS Trust sites.
- Wash plans: create and manage daily, weekly and monthly plans.
- Wash categories: set up wash types with their own descriptions, prices and durations.
- User management: view, enable, disable and delete customer accounts.
- Media: view the car images customers upload with their bookings.
Role-based access control limits what each account can see and do. The same backend handles card payments, UK vehicle verification (UKDV), push and email notifications and CDN-backed media for both the admin web app and the mobile apps.
Impact
With the admin web app, the Time Wash team runs bookings, schedules, locations, plans and customers from one place instead of separate tools. Changes made by admins reach the customer apps immediately, so availability, plans and prices are always current.
A clear data model and a shared API also make the platform easier to extend. New wash categories, plans or locations can be added from the admin app without new development work.
Key Takeaways
- Every great customer app needs strong operations behind it. The admin web app is what turns a booking made in the app into a wash delivered on time.
- Getting the data model right early makes everything else simpler. Mapping users, vehicles, bookings, plans and payments first gave the apps and the admin tools one consistent source of truth.
- Give operations teams self-service tools. When admins can create schedules, plans, categories and locations themselves, the business can adapt quickly without waiting on developers.

It lets the Time Wash team manage bookings and schedules, wash locations, wash plans, wash categories and customer accounts in one place, and view the car images customers upload.
The admin web app and the iOS and Android apps share one backend API, so changes made by admins (new schedules, plans or locations) reach customers straight away.
About 9 weeks for the complete project, covering the backend APIs, the admin web app and the mobile apps. Development itself took 6 to 7 weeks.
Role-based access control (ACL) manages login authorisation and permissions, so each account only sees and does what its role allows.
Card payments, UK vehicle verification (UKDV), push and email notifications, and a content delivery network for images and media.
